Since 2016, Aeden Fruits has been redefining the way premium fresh fruits reach Indian markets. What began as an importer and distributor has grown into a trusted partner for retailers, wholesalers, and now consumers through our upcoming retail chain.
Our Journey
What began as a single wholesale operation in the heart of Cochin has grown into a globally connected fresh produce enterprise. Our story is one of generational commitment, disciplined growth, and an unwavering belief that quality starts long before the product reaches the shelf.
Our journey began in 1960, when Haji N. K. Abdu founded NKA Fruits in Cochin, India. At a time when the fresh produce trade was built on personal relationships and earned trust, NKA Fruits distinguished itself through consistency, reliability, and an intimate understanding of supply and demand. The values instilled in those foundational years — integrity, quality, and service — remain the bedrock of everything we do today.
Under third-generation family leadership, NKA Fruits took a defining step forward by obtaining its import licence — a move that transformed the business from a regional wholesaler into a participant in global trade. Direct access to international suppliers broadened our product portfolio, elevated quality standards, and positioned us within a rapidly modernising supply chain landscape.
The establishment of Aeden Fruits International Private Limited in Cochin marked a pivotal transition — from a traditional trading operation to a process-driven, professionally managed enterprise. Centralised operations, structured procurement cycles, and technology-supported management systems laid the groundwork for scalability and set the standard for how we operate today.
In 2019, we entered organised retail with the launch of Greens Angadi — our premium fresh fruits and vegetables concept. This move completed a vertical integration from global sourcing to the retail shelf, allowing us to engage directly with consumers and translate our sourcing expertise into an exceptional everyday shopping experience. Today, Greens Angadi operates across multiple locations throughout the region.
To support our growing national distribution network, we established a branch office in Mumbai — significantly extending our PAN-India reach. This expansion improved logistical coordination across western and northern markets, reduced transit times, and reinforced our ability to serve customers and partners across the country with greater efficiency and responsiveness.
2022 marked one of the most significant years in our growth story. The commissioning of a state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Bangalore represented a major investment in operational infrastructure — strengthening our cold chain capabilities and ensuring product integrity from source to delivery. In parallel, the incorporation of Aeden Trading LLC in Dubai established our international trade hub, deepening supplier relationships and streamlining cross-border commerce across global markets.
In 2025, Aeden underwent a comprehensive transformation. Warehouse modernisation, upgraded bulk packaging systems, value-added service integration, and a refreshed corporate identity brought our operations and brand in line with international standards. This phase represented our transition from a growth-stage business to a structured, scalable enterprise — built for the long term.
In January 2026, Greens Angadi was officially rebranded as Aeden Fresh — unifying our consumer retail format under the core Aeden brand. This consolidation brought consistency across every dimension of our business: wholesale, imports, cold chain infrastructure, and retail. Aeden Fresh is more than a name — it is the consumer expression of a fully integrated supply chain, and a reflection of the promise we make to every customer who walks through our doors.
